A Day of Nature, Community & Celebration! 🌻

What a beautiful time we had on Sunday, May 31st at Native Plant Day at Richard DeKorte Park in Lyndhurst, NJ! 🌼☀️

The day featured a special ceremony honoring amazing teachers who go above and beyond in environmental education and inspiring students to connect with nature 🌿 We’re so proud that our own Bob Morris was one of this year’s seven honorees! 💚

Don Torino, President of the Bergen County Audubon Society and host of The Nature Connection on WFDU, lead a special talk and nature walks, about the importance of native plants and how they help our environment thrive. 🌱

It was a great reminder that WFDU volunteers don’t just bring you great music and fun stories on the air, they’re out there helping make our communities even better off the mic too. 💕
